It’s Our Day. Let’s Celebrate!

Soju Day is September 20th, which means we’re taking the soju game to the next level. Grab your favorite flavor and dive into the world of Soonhari.

WHAT IS SOJU DAY?

To celebrate the contributions of the more than 550,000 members of California's Korean American community, the state officially recognized September 20 as Soju Day. While it's the perfect excuse to enjoy one of the world's most iconic spirits, Soju Day is also a celebration of Korean culture, community, and the connections that come from sharing a glass of soju.

THE HISTORY OF SOJU

Soju is currently the world’s #1 spirit and one of its oldest, with roots dating back to Korea’s Goryeo Dynasty in the 13th century. Originally made solely from rice, soju expanded to include other starches such as wheat, tapioca, and barley during the 1965 rice shortage, opening the door to new production methods and flavor profiles.
